Site work is often one part of a larger construction plan. Our team can coordinate preparation with concrete, structural work, licensed trade professionals, inspections, and the next phases of construction.
Ground conditions in Brazoria County
Much of Brazoria County sits on clay soils that swell when wet and shrink when dry, with a high water table and flat ground that does not drain on its own. Slabs, driveways, and buildings set on poorly prepared ground can crack, settle, or hold water. Before we grade or excavate, we look at elevations, where water goes during heavy rain, existing drainage and culverts, and what will be built on the site.
Groundwork that sets up the foundation
Site work and foundation work go hand in hand. For a slab, that means clearing, removing unsuitable material, bringing in and compacting fill, and setting the building pad at the right elevation. For an elevated home, pole barn, or dock, it means clearing and leveling access so our piling crew can mobilize and drive piles efficiently. Doing both with one company keeps the schedule tight and puts responsibility in one place.

Utilities and safety
Before digging, we request utility locates through Texas 811. Trenching for water, sewer, and electrical lines is coordinated with the licensed plumbers and electricians who will make the connections, so trenches are dug to the right depth and route the first time.
What affects site-work pricing
Cost depends on the size of the area, vegetation and debris to remove, how much fill is needed, haul-off distance, access for equipment, and whether the site is wet. We visit the property and give you a written estimate based on what we actually see.
